Rediscovery of freedom: it’s what we’re experiencing as we crawl out of the global pandemic known as COVID19. There are maskless, smiling people all over town, from Reeds Market to Moonlite Bay. Rediscovery of connection: not only can we leave our masks at home now, but also can embrace one another, hold hands, and interact. It seems the perfect time to relaunch WhitefishChain.com. We originally came on the scene in the year 2000. Our focus was to promote businesses and be a guide for visitors to the beautiful Whitefish Chain resort community. Today, we’re coming back refreshed and with an expanded purpose: to connect people with community insights, stories, tips, influencers, businesses, and amazing experiences.
Like anything valuable, we have improved with age! Kent Carlson, the owner of WhitefishChain.com has added a podcast: The Whitefish Chain Experience. Check out his interviews with the people who make the Whitefish Chain shine, from business owners to city officials, residents, and tourists. Above all, we celebrate this unique place we all call home, or home away from home. It’s lake life at its best, or a cozy spot nestled in the woods. It’s eagles flying overhead, stopping the car for the deer to cross the road, spying the occasional bear, and listening to the loons. Then again, it’s snowmobiling, fishing, skiing, or snowshoeing on a pristine winter day, followed by a soothing fire in the evening.
The Whitefish Chain is like a beautiful song that speaks to us in every season: winter, spring, summer, and fall: fire crackling while it snows outside, the moaning of the ice as spring approaches, the return of the loons in the summer, the crunching leaves beneath our feet in the fall. The refrain that captures us is the invitation to unwind, be inspired, take a break, and come back to a hectic world REFRESHED. For first time visitors it’s a new tune to experience; for the rest of us, we tap our toes and sing along with the melody of an old, old song we love to sing. And when we hear it playing, we know it word for word. WhitefishChain.com, refreshed!
