IT’S BACK!!! If you thought the Crosslake Winterfest weekend was huge, just wait until you attend the 48th annual Saint Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday, March 19th! It’s back after a two-year hiatus. Get your green on and rest up so that you can enjoy all of the festivities.
Start with the 5K Clover Dash in the morning that follow the parade route. After that, stop in for Bloody Marys, Bingo and Brunch at the Whitefish Lodge and Suites. The town square will be a spot to shop, and Ace Hardware is planning to grill some good eats. Maucieri’s will have a food and beverage truck that will make rounds to appease any “hangry” visitors. The parade lineup begins at noon, and the parade rolls out at 2pm. Bring a chair and find your spot along the parade route; pray for sunshine.
After the parade, several locations are hosting live music. You can jam to “Pandemic” at the Whitefish Lodge and Suites, “Tangled Chords” at the 14 Lakes Brewery, “Drunk N Stupid” at Manhattan Beach Lodge, Lisa Wenger at Maucieri’s, and “Soup Bones” at The Bourbon Room.
As for the other days in March, you have your usual activities from which to choose. Meat raffles are ongoing at The American Legion on Tuesdays and Fridays, Moonlite Bay on Wednesdays, Fifty Lakes on Thursdays (bingo as well). Play poker on Mondays at Moonlite Bay, Bingo on Saturdays at Manhattan’s and also the American Legion, and trivia at Moonlite Bay on Fridays. Have you noticed the longer days? Hang on! In spite of all the snow and cold weather, spring is fast approaching.
